keeping it in the family

Our story starts way before our time of growing to love beer, breweries, and unique bars. It starts with our grandparents. Both of our grandparents on our mothers’ side owned taverns! One set of grandparents were in downtown Chicago, the other set were right here in this building! When the opportunity came up, we could not turn it down. It was an easy decision to take over the “family business” and keep this place running as it did back in the day!

We have started remodeling and trying to restore as much of the history of this building as possible. We are devoted to McHenry and supporting other local businesses by being active members in the community. We are very excited to see where this journey takes us and could not imagine a better town to help launch our dream!
